Vital for backing up profiles and important game saves. Very stable and much more convinient and portable than the harddrive.
Plus++ mine came with a free copy of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved installed on it! It wasn't advertised as such on Amazon, but is was indicated on the packaging when i got it. The game is a tremendous amount of fun with a whole lot of replayability. Definitley a pleasant surprise!

This larger MU is key for storing your profile and keeping difficult-to-replace game saves. Since the 360 dies quite often and needs to be replaced (by a very good warranty), this device removes the need to replace, for a example, an entire Forza2 garage.

I got this memory card (brand new) for $35 on Amazon with free shipping. You can't get a great deal like this ANYWHERE! This 512mb card usually runs around $50. My kid is very happy with it.

If you have multiple Xbox consoles in your home, this unit is a must have. I have two systems, one in my living room and one in my bedroom, so playing games or streaming movies from my computer is ultra easy, thanks to this memory unit. At half a gigabyte it holds quite a bit of game saves and your profile so you can take it on the road to friends or relatives houses and still accumulate gamerscore. It's a great unit for travel and migrating your profile, but just remember that it should not ne used as a substitute for a hard drive, because although half a gig is great for game saves and profiles it cannot be used for large amounts of dlc or any movies.

So, I bought this recently because my household has multiple xbox units and multiple gamers. It can be a real pain with having to recover your gamertag when you want to play on a different unit that's in the next room. Especially, when it can be really time consuming. This however, allows me to save my gamertag to the memory unit, pop it out of my xbox and into one of my sister's xboxs for a 30 second transfer to play multiplayer games anywhere in my house.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who ever wants to play on multiple xboxs. Also the transfer speed is ridiculously fast and must faster than the 256 mb built in memory unit for the newer xbox arcade models.
